Teachers have the power to spark curiosity, inspire growth, and shape hundreds of lives. They wear many hats: they are coaches, mentors, role models, creators, performers, researchers, counselors, and administrators.

The goal of the Fellowship in Education Program is to prepare teachers for all aspects of their profession.

Over the course of a year, the program engages teachers in learning and practicing the broad range of knowledge, skills, and strategies that they need to be the best teachers they can be.

The Fellowship in Education Program integrates theory with immersive classroom practice.

Teachers in the program put their learning into practice in real classrooms, receive in-depth feedback from experienced mentors, and reflect on their development as a teacher.

The Fellowship in Education Program goes well beyond traditional teacher training programs.

It is grounded in the real-life experiences and needs of current teachers, incorporates global perspectives and recent advancements in educational research, elicits active participation and engagement, and prepares teachers to utilize the latest technology and multimedia tools in the field.

Program Structure

  • Duration: 10 months
  • 6 hours of in-person instruction every Saturday
  • 25+ hours of classroom observation/teaching during weekdays
  • 3-4 hours of required readings, assignments, and reflective journal writing every week
  • Quizzes and performance assessment at the end of every module
  • Graduation requirement: Create and present a comprehensive portfolio of your work throughout the year!

Eligibility

  • Current and aspiring teachers
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • No prior teaching experience or certification necessary!
