The Department of Agricultural Economics, Institute of Agricultural Research & Technology (IART), NMV University, organized a brainstorming seminar titled “360-Degree Approach to Explore New Horizons in Agricultural Economics” on 29 January 2025. The seminar was inaugurated with a welcome address by Mr. B. Haribalan, followed by the presidential address of Dr. K. R. Sundaravaradarajan, Vice Chancellor, NMV University. Distinguished resource persons including Dr. G. Ravi, Dr. K. R. Jahan Mohan, Dr. R. Narayanakumar, Dr. R. Venkatraman, Dr. G. Srinivasan, Dr. R. Thulasiram and Mr. B. Muthuraja delivered expert lectures on research writing, agricultural development, market strategies, branding, agricultural trade, research methodologies, climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness, startups, digital agriculture, AI-driven education and career opportunities in agricultural economics.

The seminar concluded with the rapporteur address by Ms. J. Abirami and the vote of thanks by Mr. V. Vikanasan. The event provided students with valuable knowledge on research, innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture and policy frameworks, fostering academic excellence and industry-oriented learning in the field of agricultural economics.
