A Fusion of Festive Tradition and Next-Gen Agri-Tech

The Institute of Agriculture Research and Technology (IART), NMV University, Aruppukottai, is organizing AGROWALI–26 on 4 November 2026 (Wednesday) at 6:00 PM at the IART campus.

The event celebrates the fusion of traditional Diwali festivities with next-generation agricultural technologies. Under the theme “Defeating New-Age Narakasuras through Sustainable Innovation – Krishnavatar,” students will showcase innovative, student-crafted prototypes addressing contemporary agricultural challenges.

The exhibition highlights sustainable solutions in precision agriculture, autonomous drone technology, biochar enrichment, vertical farming, integrated pest management, smart farming, and direct-to-consumer marketing. It presents a vision of how emerging technologies can help overcome challenges such as chemical residues, soil degradation, shrinking cultivable land, food demand and exploitative market intermediaries.

AGROWALI–26 aims to inspire students to become innovators and responsible agricultural entrepreneurs while promoting sustainable farming practices and technology-driven solutions for farmers and consumers.
