The Institute of Agriculture and Research Technology (IART), NMV University, celebrated Educational Development Day on 15 July 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of K. Kamaraj, the visionary leader known for his remarkable contributions to education and social development in Tamil Nadu.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. K. R. Sundaravaradarajan, Vice Chancellor, NMV University, and coordinated by the Department of Agricultural Extension Education. The event commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address and compering by Mr. R. Hariharan, Undergraduate Student.

Students highlighted the life, achievements, and educational reforms introduced by Kamarajar, including the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, school development initiatives and irrigation projects that strengthened agriculture and rural livelihoods.

Interactive activities such as Puzzles, Action Game (Find the Jumping Words), and Connection Rounds were conducted to enhance student participation and awareness about Kamarajar’s legacy. A poetry recital was presented by Mr. V. Gurunath, paying tribute to his leadership and selfless service.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. E. Anbarasi, followed by the National Anthem. The celebration inspired students to uphold the values of simplicity, service and dedication exemplified by Kamarajar.
