National Voters’ Day was celebrated on 25 January 2025 at NMV Institute of Agriculture Research & Technology, NMV University, in accordance with Government Order [EI/I3/2024/2] and the directives of the Virudhunagar District Collector. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. K. R. Sundaravaradarajan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, NMV University.

Faculty members, undergraduate students and postgraduate scholars actively participated in the celebration by taking the National Voters’ Day Oath, reaffirming their commitment to uphold democratic values and participate in free, fair and peaceful elections. The programme created awareness about the importance of voting, encouraged responsible electoral participation, strengthened civic responsibility and reinforced the vital role of voting in strengthening democracy.
