The seminar on “Next-Gen Agriculture: Redefining Prospects and Empowering Agri Technocrats” was conducted on 08 February 2025 at the Institute of Agriculture and Research Technology (IART), NMV University, and was organized by the undergraduate students under the theme “Of the students, by the students, for the students.”

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. M. Angeline Jency, II B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, followed by the presidential address of Dr. K. R. Sundaravaradarajan, Vice Chancellor, NMV University, who emphasized innovation, technology, and leadership in shaping the future of agriculture.

The seminar featured expert sessions by Dr. D. Velmurugan, Dr. R. Narayanakumar, and faculty members of IART on emerging technologies, higher education opportunities, entrepreneurship, leadership, data science, communication skills and industry readiness in agriculture.

The programme served as a valuable platform for students to explore future opportunities in agriculture and strengthen their knowledge in innovation, agribusiness and professional development. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. R. Remya, III B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture.
