The 77th Republic Day Celebration was celebrated on 26 January 2026 at the Institute of Agriculture and Research Technology (IART), NMV University, with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to instill the values of unity, responsibility, and national pride among students.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. R. Sundaravaradarajan, Vice Chancellor, NMV University, and was organized by Dr. A. S. Archana, Assistant Professor, Department of Agricultural Extension Education. The celebration commenced with the National Flag Hoisting by Mrs. C. Mohanapriya, Assistant Professor, Department of Agricultural Economics, in the presence of faculty members, staff, and students.

As part of the celebration, Ms. P. Devipriya, Undergraduate Student, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting patriotism, national unity and civic responsibility. The programme also featured the rendition of the Kodi Paadal (National Song) by the second-year girl students, creating a vibrant patriotic atmosphere on the campus.

The National Pledge was administered, followed by an impressive parade performed by students from all academic years, symbolizing discipline, unity and dedication to the nation. The parade was proudly led by Mr. R. Rajkumar, Mr. V. Gurunath and Mr. R. Dharshan, whose participation reflected the spirit and commitment associated with India’s defence services.

The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and staff, reinforcing the values of patriotism, national integrity and responsible citizenship.
